Placemaking in Michigan

MIPlace.org is a terrific resource for communities in northern Michigan to learn more about how the State of Michigan is approaching placemaking through its many different agencies and departments.   This site is also a great resource to see other placemaking implementation efforts throughout the state.

The Economics of Place: The Value of building Communities Around People, a book by the Michigan Municipal League, focuses on creating dynamic, walkable, sustainable communities and regions where people want to live. The book describes the importance of place as an economic development strategy that will create a positive, dynamic future for Michigan.
